I don't know if I would admire Frank Stockton for making such an open-ended short story or if I would feel disappointed towards him for hanging his readers like me at the end of the story.

A semi-barbaric king devises a semi-barabaric (but entirely fair) method of criminal trial involving two doors, a beautiful lady and a very hungry tiger.
