Invictus by William Ernest Henley

I remember reciting this poem in high school.
This has been my favorite ever since.
I think my mom liked it too.
I reminisce her reciting the last two lines
of this poem when I was a child.
This line I just no longer recite:
"I thank whatever gods may be"
That's because the God I know now is
not just one of the many gods I've heard.
